BlockStar Meet
Platform Overview
A comprehensive guide to how BlockStar Meet brings people together through secure video communication, scheduled meetings, live streaming, and a community broadcast network — all powered by end-to-end encryption and blockchain technology.
Executive Summary
BlockStar Meet is a next-generation communication platform that combines the simplicity of consumer video calling with the security of blockchain technology. Unlike traditional video platforms that require lengthy installations, fragile plugins, or corporate accounts, BlockStar Meet works entirely through a browser — making it accessible to anyone, anywhere, instantly.
The platform is built around three distinct but interconnected experiences: an instant, login-free video call service for quick connections; a full-featured meeting management system for professionals who need scheduling, contacts, and streaming; and an open live channel network where anyone can broadcast or watch content on topics ranging from technology and crypto to cooking and sports.
Every element of BlockStar Meet is underpinned by end-to-end encryption and blockchain-based identity security — ensuring that communication is private, tamper-proof, and owned by the people using it, not the platform.
Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To make secure, high-quality video communication available to everyone — without barriers like mandatory sign-ups, complicated software, or surveillance-based business models. BlockStar Meet exists to serve people first.
Our Vision
A world where anyone can connect face-to-face with anyone else, securely and privately, from any device — and where communities can broadcast, share, and communicate freely without relying on advertising-driven surveillance platforms.
Our Core Belief
"Communication is a human right. Privacy is not a premium feature." BlockStar Meet is built on the principle that every conversation deserves to be secure by default, and every person deserves access to professional-grade communication tools.
The Three Platforms
BlockStar Meet is not a single tool — it's an ecosystem of three purpose-built platforms that work together to cover every communication scenario, from a spontaneous one-on-one call to a professional broadcast reaching thousands of viewers.
BlockStar Foundation
No Login Requiredblockstar.foundation
BlockStar Foundation is the fastest way to start a secure video call. There's nothing to install, no account to create, and no configuration required. A user simply visits the website, enters a room name, and begins. Anyone who receives the room link can join instantly in their own browser.
This platform is ideal for spontaneous conversations — a quick catch-up with a friend, a last-minute client call, or an unplanned team check-in. Because no personal information is collected at login, it also suits situations where privacy and anonymity are priorities.

BlockStar Meet is the full-featured professional layer of the ecosystem. After creating a free account, users gain access to a personal dashboard where they can schedule meetings in advance, manage a contacts list, track their meeting history, connect external live stream destinations, and host or join channels — all from a single interface.
Scheduled meetings can be set as public or private, protected with passwords, and configured to repeat on a regular schedule. An integrated calendar provides a visual overview of all upcoming sessions. Invitation sharing allows hosts to distribute meeting links via email or copied link with a single click.

BlockStar Channels
No Login to Watchmeet.blockstar.site/channel
BlockStar Channels is an open broadcast network. It operates like a live television platform where channels are always available for anyone to join and watch — without creating an account. The channel directory spans a wide variety of topics, from crypto and blockchain to gaming, cooking, news, comedy, and more.
Logged-in users can go further: creating their own channels, customizing their channel page with a name, logo, and description, going live to broadcast to their audience, and managing their channels over time. Channel broadcasts can also be connected to external streaming platforms, multiplying the reach of each session.
Core Features
BlockStar Meet is built around a set of capabilities that make it stand out as a communication platform. Each feature is designed to be intuitive, reliable, and privacy-respecting.
HD Video Calling
Crystal-clear, high-definition video powered by WebRTC — the same technology used in enterprise communication systems — delivering smooth video even on average internet connections.
Screen Sharing
Share your entire screen, a specific application window, or a browser tab directly within a meeting room — perfect for presentations, walkthroughs, and collaborative work sessions.
In-Meeting Chat
A real-time text chat panel runs alongside every video call, allowing participants to share links, notes, or messages without interrupting the audio conversation.
Meeting Scheduling
Plan meetings in advance by setting a specific start time, end time, and duration. Recurring meetings can be scheduled to automatically repeat, eliminating the need to recreate regular sessions.
Multi-Platform Streaming
Connect external RTMP stream destinations such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live. One session can broadcast simultaneously to multiple platforms, extending the audience without additional effort.
Live Channels
An open network of topic-based broadcast channels that anyone can watch without creating an account. Creators with accounts can build and manage their own channels, going live to their audience on demand.
Contact Management
A personal address book for storing and organizing contacts. Contacts can be selected directly when sharing meeting invitations, making the process of inviting frequent collaborators fast and frictionless.
Calendar View
A visual calendar interface displays all scheduled meetings in monthly, weekly, and daily views. Users can create new meetings by selecting a date on the calendar and join scheduled sessions directly from the calendar view.
Meeting Analytics
The dashboard tracks total call hours, meeting counts, and session history. Users can review their communication activity over time, providing insight into their usage patterns.
Invitation Sharing
Meeting links — including optional passwords — can be shared with a single click. Invitations can be sent to individual contacts or copied for distribution through any external channel such as email, messaging apps, or social media.
Password-Protected Rooms
Meeting rooms can be secured with a password so that only people who have the correct credentials can join. This gives hosts complete control over who enters their meeting space.
BlockStar Name Login
Users with a BlockStar Name — a blockchain-based identity — can sign in without a traditional email/password. This provides a decentralized, self-sovereign alternative to conventional account systems.
Security & Privacy
Security is not a feature added on top of BlockStar Meet — it is embedded at every level of the platform. From the moment a call is initiated to the moment it ends, multiple layers of protection ensure that conversations stay private and that access remains controlled.
End-to-End Encryption
Every video and audio stream on BlockStar Meet is encrypted before it leaves the user's device. The encryption key is only shared between the participants in a call — not stored on any server. Even BlockStar Meet itself cannot access the content of a conversation. When the call ends, the encryption keys are discarded.
Blockchain-Based Room Security
Room identities and access records are anchored to a blockchain, meaning they cannot be retroactively altered or forged. When a participant joins a room, their access is verified against this immutable record. This prevents unauthorized access even in the case of link interception, as the blockchain validates that the joining device matches the expected identity.
No Persistent Storage of Calls
BlockStar Meet does not record or retain the content of video calls. The platform operates as a connection facilitator — once a session ends, the content is gone. There is no surveillance data being gathered from meetings to build user profiles or sell to third parties.
XSS & Input Protection
The platform includes active protection against cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. All user inputs — room names, chat messages, and form fields — are sanitized before being processed, preventing malicious code from being injected into the application. This protects all participants in a room from being targeted through the platform itself.
Browser Permission Model
BlockStar Meet operates entirely within the browser's built-in security model. Camera and microphone access is only requested when explicitly needed, and the browser itself enforces these permissions. Users can revoke access at any time through their browser settings without any platform-side action required.
Security at a Glance
| Protection Layer | What It Covers | Status |
|---|---|---|
| End-to-End Encryption | All audio & video content | Active |
| Blockchain Verification | Room identity & access | Active |
| Password Protection | Meeting room entry | Optional |

How It Works
This section explains how the different parts of BlockStar Meet work in plain terms — without technical jargon. Whether you're starting a call, scheduling a meeting, or going live on a channel, the process is designed to be simple and intuitive.
Starting an Instant Call
User visits blockstar.foundation
No account, no download — just a browser. The platform instantly loads and presents a simple room creation interface.
A unique room is created
The user enters or accepts a room name. The platform assigns a unique, encrypted room identity to this session, anchored to the blockchain for verification.
Participants join via the room link
Anyone with the room link can join. Their browser requests camera and microphone permission, and upon granting it, they are connected securely into the room.
The call happens — encrypted
Video and audio streams are encrypted on each device before transmission. No unencrypted content ever passes through any server. When everyone leaves, the room closes and the session data is cleared.
Scheduling & Managing a Meeting
User logs into meet.blockstar.site
Authentication is handled securely. Users can log in with their email credentials or their BlockStar Name for blockchain-based identity verification.
Meeting is created and saved
The user sets a meeting name, start/end time, privacy settings, and optional password. The meeting is stored in their personal dashboard and appears in the calendar view.
Invitations are shared
The host copies the meeting link or selects contacts from their address book. Participants receive the link and can join at the scheduled time with a single click.
Meeting launches at the scheduled time
When it's time, the host clicks Launch from their dashboard or calendar. Participants join via their link. The session is recorded in meeting history for future reference.
Going Live on a Channel
Creator creates a channel
Logged-in users navigate to Create Channel, give it a name, category, description, and optional branding image.
Channel is published to the directory
The channel appears in the public channel listing at meet.blockstar.site/channel where anyone can find and join it without an account.
Creator goes live
The creator starts a broadcast from their channel page. They can optionally connect it to external streaming platforms using the Connect Stream feature.
Viewers watch in real time
Anyone can join the channel and watch the live broadcast. Viewers interact through the channel's live chat. No login is required to watch.
